FPATT’s Membership
Eligibility Criteria and Application Guidelines
Purpose
This document outlines the eligibility requirements and application guidelines for individuals and organizations seeking membership in FPATT.
Membership indicates support for FPATT’s mission to promote reproductive health, family planning, and related rights.
Classes of Membership
Annual Membership
Annual Subscription of $200.00 payable on admission to membership and thereafter at the beginning of each calendar year.
Life Membership
Subscription of $1000.00 payable on admission to Membership or upon conversion from Annual Membership to Life Membership.
All applications for categories of membership are reviewed by the Membership and Nomination Committee.
Eligibility Requirements
A. Individual/Annual Members
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Residency: Reside in Trinidad and Tobago or have a meaningful connection to the country.
- Support: Demonstrate understanding of and support for FPATT’s mission and values.
- Identification: Provide valid government-issued identification (e.g., National ID, Passport).
- Recent Police Certificate of Character.
- Payment: Pay the applicable membership fee.
B. Organizational & Professional Members
- Qualifications: Provide proof of relevant qualifications or registration (for professionals).
- Purpose: Demonstrate alignment with FPATT’s objectives.
- Documentation: Submit organizational registration documents or endorsements.
C. Membership Application & CV Submission Guidelines
- Application Process
- Complete the official membership application form.
- Submit the form along with required documentation, including a comprehensive CV.
- Pay the applicable registration or annual membership fee.
D. CV Submission Requirements
- Applicants must submit an up-to-date CV that clearly illustrates their qualifications, experience, and skills relevant to FPATT’s objectives.
The CV should adhere to the following guidelines: - Format: Submit as a PDF document.
- Recency: The CV should be current (within the last 2 years).
- Relevance: Tailor the CV to highlight experience aligned with FPATT’s mission and objectives.
E. Additional Documentation
- For professional applicants, include copies or proof of licenses, certifications, or registration.
- For organizational applicants, include organizational registration documents and key personnel details.
F. Additional Conditions
- Applicants involved in activities contrary to FPATT’s mission or with a criminal record related to health/human rights may be disqualified.
- Members must support and promote FPATT’s objectives and adhere to its code of conduct.
- Confidentiality of sensitive information must be maintained.
Membership Process & Benefits
Membership Process
Step 1: Complete the Membership Application Form
Fill out the official form with accurate personal, contact, and membership details.
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Submit your completed form in person, by mail, or email to your nearest Family
Planning Association office.
Step 3: Application Review
Your application is forwarded to the Central Committee for review and approval.
Step 4: Notification of Approval
You will be notified via phone or email about the decision. If approved, you will receive
instructions on when and how to pay your membership fee.
Step 5: Complete Payment
Pay the required membership fee through your preferred method (cash, bank transfer,
or credit/debit card).
Step 6: Membership Activation
Upon payment confirmation, your membership is activated. You will receive a
membership ID and a welcome package.
