Veronica and her husband Rogelio migrated to Trinidad and Tobago a year ago from Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela. In Venezuela, Veronica worked as a public-school teacher in a public elementary school and Rogelio was an accountant, yet they struggled to pay the bills due to the country’s economic situation. After many years of hardship, they decided to migrate and start over.
